This video provides a step-by-step guide to creating a customized hazard removal program using DeepWalk’s web application. By utilizing the Implement Tool, you will be able to create the customized program by filtering selected hazard data points, reviewing locations through first-person view images, and exporting program data in various formats. The hazard removal program serves as a work order, helping you efficiently plan and streamline sidewalk remediation and maintenance
0:00 Hi, this is Yu-Ning Liu. I am GIS engineer at DeepWalk. In this video, I will show you how to create a hazard removal program using the DeepWalk's web app.
0:13 Basically the hazard removal program is a work order that you can pick the trip hazard you found, the location you found, and manage points that you are interested in fixing it in need of remediation.
0:28 You can utilize our Implement tool on our web app.
0:34 So when you go to our web app, you can see, There's a Implement section. You can get started to create a hazard removal program.
0:43 Once you have all the manual tags, for example, the trip hazard, maybe other customized tags as well collected in your project, you can start to create a program.
0:58 First select the type of the program. Now we have the hazard removal program and the obstruction removal program. You can choose one to create a program.
1:12 You have to select hazard or the any manual tags you are interested in. For example, there's a way to draw the interested area.
1:25 And filter by the manual tag types. So, for example, in this project, I will be interested in the trip hazard types.
1:38 I can review the first person view. Name it like the trip hazard, grinding in March 2025.
1:56 We can start to review every single trip hazard that have been collected.
2:05 So, for example, I accept this one is going to be fixed in March 2025....yes, and yes.
2:18 You can accept or reject it. And then. and you can save the program. So while it is saved, it will be navigate to the Program section here.
2:29 So you can see all the saved program.
2:33 You can see an overview of this program, which contains in this case 4 trip hazards, you can export to the CSV or GeoJSON.
2:42 So if you open the, you can see a list of the features with some useful attributes like the address, the coordinate, GPS coordinate, and the scan ID, a lot long, maybe the severity and the feature type.
3:02 One thing to create a program based on the shape, if you have some predefined polygons or the areas
3:11 you have been using in the home page, for example, in this case, I have drawn polygon representing the East Memory Lane.
3:24 I can create the hazard removal based on that area as well. So, for example, I can manually draw, or I can import the saved region that I saved in our Home page so that you can see all the data points falling into this area will be also selected and ready for review.

3:52 It's really useful for the work order creation by using DeepWalk's web. If you have any question about the Implementation Tool or anything else, please feel free to reach out, and we are happy to help. Enjoy!
