This video covers everything you need to know about the Details Page under the Data Tool in DeepWalk’s web application. The Details Page allows you to inspect individual sidewalk scan features in depth, offering a top-down view with annotations, an interactive map, and a summary of accessibility and condition data. Watch it and learn how to navigate this page effectively and extract meaningful insights to support your sidewalk accessibility assessments with DeepWalk.
0:00 Hello, this is Yu-Ning Liu. I am GIS engineer at DeepWalk. In this video, I am going to show you the Details page under our Data Tool in the DeepWalk's web app.
0:13 So, basically, it is a page that allows you to inspect every single detail of each sidewall scan feature, using the code you have collected.
0:25 Looking at this page, you will three main blocks. On the left side, it is a top-down view image and the annotations on top of the sidewalk.
0:38 You will see really details of when you hover the shapes and the features; On the right side, you will see a map view.
0:49 You can switch the base map back and forth to navigate the map and select the scan you're interested in; On the bottom right corner, you will have the summary and the details for every single assessment and condition data for this scan.
1:12 So let's go back to our top down view image. First it is focused on a single scan feature searched by a scan ID.
1:24 Individual scan feature. Has its own unique ID. useful for searching and identifying you can use the download scan image.
1:36 To download the labeled top down view image if needed. And when you go through the top down view image, you can see the annotated image.
1:50 It shows really detailed information on a panel by panel basis. There's small icon on top of the panel to indicate the violation level of the panel.
2:07 So what you can, how you can tell and how you can better understand this symbology. You first click on the aggregate region to, ah, that tells you that the sidewalk type of this region.
2:21 So, which, in this case, mid-block. I close the aggregate region layer, and I go to the icon key table to search the mid-block so that you will see the symbology here represents the minor severity regarding the clear width violation.
2:41 It's minor, but move on to the next panel, it is labeled as moderate, clear width. Besides the panel, we have also some other regions type that are interesting. So if you open the regions, you can see there are some cracks
3:05 in this sidewalk. We can see there are more than one crack for this sidewalk. So, we also detect these regions.
3:18 If we go to my inspection details, you can see my crack. Besides cracks, we also spot some interesting regions like the brick, the asphalt maybe deteriorated area.
3:34 I will show you, maybe in this scan feature. if I click on this scan feature, I can see the deteriorated region.
3:47 I will go to the annotation toggles section to turn off all the regions but the deteriorated, so that I can find where the deteriorated area is located in this sidewalk, which also have some ground slope, cross slope, width, and area measurement.
4:16 We can reset zoom, and if we take a closer look at our summary here, we can see the information, the metadata in more details for this scan.
4:31 For example, who was collecting it, the date of the collection, and maybe the total area, and the length of this sidewalk, the material, and the type of it.
4:44 We can move on to the details that shows the area calculation, categorized into different types. And also the inspection legend represents the level the score this scan feature has.
5:00 So in this case, score is a three meaning moderate barriers to access found.
5:06 For individual scan has its own of a scan ID.
5:12 We can search by ID here on the left corner side of the Details page. If you go back to our Overview page and for example, you are looking for some specific detail of this scan feature. For example, you will scroll down and find the ID.
5:34 And copy it and then you can navigate to the Details page again and then paste it to search by ID.
5:42 So you will get a full list of the details for the scan. For example, whether there is a manual tag is on top of it and the measurement for individual panel.
5:59 for this sidewalk as well and to inspect, whether there are some interesting regions like the crack, deteriorated area inside the sidewalk.
6:12To wrap up, a detailed page gives you a very detailed information for individual scan feature.
6:22 If you have any question about this page, please let us know and feel free to play around with other features in our Data Tool! Thank you.
